muchspl3 said right before the list... DOWNLOADABLE. i.e. Revolution downloads old ROMs from Nintendo for free. sounds kind of like a good deal to me, and kind of not. i'd rather have a disc with all of the ROMs on it, instead of depending on Nintendo to keep the ROMs online. if it were to come with a disc... well, heck, i'd consider buying my first Nintendo console since the original NES (switched to Sega when Genesis/MegaDrive came out, never looked back). :P

Regarding the system's backwards compatibility features, Iwata refered to this part of the Revolution as a "Virtual Console." From a technical standpoint, all NES, Super NES and N64 games can work with the system, although it's unclear if every game in Nintendo's tremendous back catalogue will be available.

There's some disappointing news for those expecting these classics to be available for free. Nintendo is planning on pay downloads as being the standard for this download system. There will be many types of services, though, including limited time free downloads. One possibility mentioned by Iwata is free downloads as bonuses for buying new games.

Thats because just reading the first post would have answered your question.

Yes you download them from a server onto your Revolution and play them on your Revolution using a TV hooked up to your (shock horror) Revolution and using the Revolutions game pad, which should be connecting to the Revolution via a wireless device.

Knowing Nintendo you'll have to be online to play the game or the game's will expire after a certain amount of time. There's no substitute for a modded Xbox with emulators.

If these had been free it would have given me a strong insentive to buy it and it would be a serious consideration of mine, but if im gonna have to pay for the classic N64 games i won't even bother looking into it.

If Nintendo truely gives Full backwards-compatible w/o any hassles, (no p2p, online usage, etc)..

Then godamn , this is truely a bang for your buck deal.. :D

This move could make Nintendo faithfulls end up as the biggest winners of all gamewise, I am now quite interested at what the Revolution has to offer, moreso even than the PS3.
