View Full Version : Was looking to get a new LCD high res. monitor...

I want to get an LCD monitor with at least 1600 x 1200, and I found an affordable monitor, but I'm confused.

This is the monitor that I want to get:

This is the same one on a different website:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1016659&CatId=1410

The second one has a slower response time. Are these the same?? Also, the second one shows a lower contrast ratio. :blink:

Yes, they are the same monitor. They have the same model number listed. Why the specs are different I don't know? Typo maybe?

No matter. The one with the better specs is $25 bucks cheaper. :)

Do you really need built in speakers? If not, you're gonna pay more for something you don't need.

Another recommendation would be to search for the monitor you want, and then watch for a couple weeks on eBay. You can find some great monitor pricing there if you're patient.

Alot of the ones that have them are crappy and dont change the price.Ok nice, thanks Singa. :) I was thinking about the 4 ms monitor u showed me but I like the added space of the 1600 x 1200 res and the response time is still better than my current monitor. :01:

My friends little comp package came witha spcetre lcd monitor, its pretty nice :)

As usual, going to the manufacturer's site reveals the truth.

Looks like TigerDirect made their specs up. Makes you wonder how often they do that. :blink:

Man I've been hearing so much shit about tigerdirect latley, people never getting rebate checks, and misprints on there info before this too...

I was looking at the ABIT FATAL1TY 939 mobo on there, the price is decent but there info on it isnt, It says the board has 2000 mhz FSB when its 1000 :blink: Do people actually receive there product tho? Cuz thats all that matters and will matter for me.

Yeah, but I won't buy from them, I don't trust a site, how do you know it doesn't really have a 1500 fsb. if they were wrong like 5 times the could be wrong again.

But it has 1000MHz in each direction. Isn't that 2000MHz? :blink:

I actually bought there once. Got my rebate too. But I ordered 2 or 3 day select (cant remember what it is right now) and i got it 2 and a half weeks later. I checked the shipping and it was ground. So they cheated me out of that money. Complained but they never replied.
