This dude is the reason why I started to play guitar.
I remember being about 11 or 12 or so, back in -80 or -81, when I was getting some piano lessons,
theory and "Little fingers to play" and that type of stuff I saw the video of Runaway Boys on our black and white telly.

I got so hooked on the punkish-rockabilly attitube I was sold, hehe.
i thought, "Fuck piano, that Gretsch is awsome"

I got my first G in -95, its the Setzer model.
Got me them plane tickets, flew to NY, walzed in to Mannys Music and bought the thing. Hell, if jimi and Setzer bought them guitars at Mannys, is good enough for me, hehe.
3 grands, but even with the prize of plane-tickets, t'was cheaper than bying in local shops here.

Ever since i've been trying to get my hands on Setzers music when it comes out,
I've even found some demos on the net etc.

So, he's at it again:

'ROCKABILLY RIOT VOL. ONE - A TRIBUTE TO SUN RECORDS'

More info in here (http://www.shorefiremedia.com/artists/bsetzer/).

This was particularly interesting:
Liner notes. (http://www.shorefiremedia.com/artists/bsetzer/liners_bsetzer.html)

I cant wait to get my hands on this album.
Spose to be out 26. of June.

:D

Yes, it is a tad geppish but I love that type of music.

couple months ago saw a concert he did over in china somewhere (new years eve maybe??) anyway he totally blew me away with his playing... another thing was the guy barely took a break over several hours...even when the rest of the band was off taking a breather he was up there doing an amazing solo piece!!!!

You have any idea how much a Gretcsh (http://www.gretschguitars.com/gear/index.php?product=G6120SSLVO&cat1=&cat2=&q=&st=1) weights?

It feels probably like a metric ton after 1 hour on the sholder.
I know, done some gigs...
:D
