I don't do guitars (yet).
But I do keyboards, and mine can sound like many guitars.

Korg X3 keyboard
Peavey 'Scorpion series' KB300 Amp

Actually, my amp is almost the
same as shown below, but it has a
tweeter. Covers many audio ranges.

This is some great professional stuff! Fun to play with. Take a look at the website (http://www.korg.com/) and see what the professionals use.

...Kurzweil K2600+
Oh yeah, Kurzweils are nice. I tried a few and they are amazing.

My Korg is about 8 years old, and expensive at the time. I paid about $1,500 for it, and that was a special sale price. The Peavey amp was about $600.00, and that too, was a special sale price.

The Korg can be programmed. Uses MSDOS floppies. Has MIDI and can be easily connected to my home PC for extra expanded pleasure. The KORG MIDI work Station (an extra rack mount component) can double the polophony. I can also use voice sample cards to add extra voices to the keyboard library.

You keyboard geeks are infesting a perfectly good axe thread.

Start your own thread for your synthesiser / keyboard / piano nonsense.

Real music is made by guitar players.

Keyboards are for backing music at sing alongs in social clubs. Or to keep the audience amused when the guitar player is having a pint.

In fact can't a mod do the right thing and extract this extraneous stuff and start a new thread with it. .

Flip sake the guy wanted to talk axes, not hammond organs.

What's that all about.

Lets start by extracting this one. :o

Hammond organs are for amatuers.

The keyboards mentioned here are superior instruments that can buy dozens of guitars for the same price. Besides, these keyboards can sound exactly like a guitar. I can post a sample mp3 of mine, just to let you hear the quality.

Then you're a guitar player.

I saw Jaco play purple haze, including harmonic chords, on a fretless bass. He was with Weather Report at the time. Plays Bass in God's band now.

Post us your fav bass that man. Ever played a fender azz Bass (fretless of course) seriously long neck.

as far as basses go, I play an old Peavey T-40, a Dean 4 Fretless, a Yamaha 5 string Myung, a 25 + year old Ovation with an 18 volt active electronics system....

I would like :
4 and 5 string matching ergodynes (Ibenez)
A 6 string carl thompson (BASS)
and an NS design 5 string electric upright double bass

For the record, I do not classify myself a guitarist, but as a bassist....
Bass is to guitar what Tuba is to trumpet... the physics are the same,
but you do not call a Tuba player a trumpet player (and yes, I can play Tuba... it is a
bass related instrument.)

Just my ongoing rant

no offense

You suck!

Keyboards and guitars go together!
Listen to any music by Tangerine Dream and you'll know what I am talking about.

Actually I'm sharing Phaedra just now.

Why not come to the soulseek site and download it direct.

If you want to hear keyboard and guitar together however I would recommend the Mahavishnu Orchestra, when Jan Hammer and John McLaughlin played.

Don't take on so, I'm having a wee laugh. I really like stuff by Rick Wakeman, Chis Corera (with Al DiMeola in Return To Forever, Stanley Clarke on Bass and Lenny White on Drums) loads of keyboard players.

So why not come to soulseek and download some keyboard - guitar music from all of the above.
