Geforce 2

I was wondering if a Geforce 2 64 meg is any good?
For games like gta3 and stuff

Dont know.All I know is that Geforce4 128meg is ample enough for most things,UT2003,MOHAA etc.
Go on spend that little bit more.......

As long as the card supports OpenGl and T&L you should be fine with it. Most games these days require that for optimal performance otherwise you may find youself playing in 640x480 with terrible graphics and slooooow performance. btw, which card are you referring to, you made be able to get some reviews about it by searching google.com.


A fairly reasonable card is the Geforce4 Ti4200, under $100 (US) and great for just about any game out there. I have it, runs great so far. Now when the newer Geforce4 Ti4600 - 4800's go down I may move up to one of those. Won't be too much longer in price drops since the release of the newer Geforce FX cards :rolleyes:

To be honest, I think you should aim for higher then a geforce 2.

I have a geforce 4 mx420 (which I know is the worst geforce 4) and even now I can't play some games on top graphics (my other specs are fine).

So I say save up for a geforce 4 mx460 or better.

I dont care about crap graphics i only care about it not going so slow in games like gta 3
