does anyone know how to go about getting an IP address from a sent email? i would like to know where these emails are coming from that i keep getting. thank you!

if ur using outlook / outlook express you've got to view the message header, in OE you right click the message in ur inbox and click proerties, then the details tab

u'll see something like this

I *think* the IP screened by XXX.XXX is yours

YYY.YYY.YYY.YYY is the IP of the person who sent it


some1 put me right if I&#39;m wrong, but this would check out for the message i coppied it from

actually....i was using yahoo....is there any way to get the IP there?

I know hotmail have an option that lets you show the header information but im not sure if yahoo do.

Have a look through the options and see if it is available.

theres no IP stuff under options in Yahoo........I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO&#33; HELP&#33;&#33;

There&#39;s an option in yahoo mail "This is Spam", just click the box.
