its for a friends sony digicam - installed eveything perfect - but xp requires Sonypvu1.sys everytime we connect it - & its not on the install disk not at sony headquarters - after looking on several forums it seems its a xp sp1 x sp2 issue
one forum had a 4 page list of people begging for this file....

the only reason I knew is I was going to post that link, but I tried it just to make sure

It should be in the "driver.cab" file in "c:\windows\driver cache\i386." Just search for it and extract it.

If ever people are looking for missing of corrupt system files, you can just use the search feature in Windows to search the Windows XP CD. You will find the file your looking for. All you have to do is extract it from the cab files.

Also it might be in the "I386" folder in 'C'..might, cause it's for a program, not Windows.
