hi, i'm an avid AIM (aol instant messenger) user and i think it's more or less a great program.
However, I'm wondering if there's a method or plugin/addon that'll let me sign on invisible so I can sign on without people seeing me.
Is this available?
Thanks,
David

Not at this time, but it is supposed to have it this year when AOL 10 comes out of Beta, than AIM 6-7 will come out along side.

alright thanks.
so no programs like DeadAIM, etc. can do that? Note: I don't want to have to switch to a program like Trillian, i'm happy enough with aim.

I use Trillian & it can't set AIM Invisible...it only works if the Client supports it.
Thats why you can do it in Yahoo.

i kno that if u close that little eye on the AIM screen it will put you in a invisible type mode, kinda like msn's appear offline

yeah i know, but i wanna be able to sign on like that, so i don't feel guilty if i immediately sign off afterwards
link an sn, if u link an sn u can set it to sign on as invisible

Trillian saves ur state when u log on/off so if you log off when ur invisiable, u log back on invisable. ;)

But he already said he didnt want to switch programs.
SOLUTION: Wait until AIM 10.
