Hi, I just bought an extremely nice set of 7.1 speakers so I wanted to have the highest quality audio available.

I download my music now with bittorent (bitcomet) and Limewire / morpheus.
But most of the music I see is just standard mp3 quality.

Can anyone tell me if there is any dvd quality audio out there to download?, en how can I get it?

Thnx :)

Okey, the dvd quality might have been a little to much to ask...

but 1.5 Mbps?

I dunno, im find my normal stereo mp3's still usefull. Anything over 192k mp3 is fine with me.

7.1 would mean surround and I dont think there's too many audio albums out
that's done in surround format.

For highest quality download, look for EAC ripped mp3's, maybe VBR mp3's,
also one keyword to use is Losless.

dvd audio was cracked recently so if your lucky you might spot a few releases soon.

apart from that you will have to buy dvd audio releases to get 5.1 or above.

Download songs encoded in VBR (variable bit rate) and make sure u have a badass video card like a creative audigy ZS and up.

Video card?

When downloading music, anything over 192k sounds great to me really...

I use the nVidia chipset for me audio.
Comes with the mobo.

I also record using it, edit and such.

It is not the best situation but given my home "HiFi" setup,
it'll do just fine, hehe.

;D

I have an audigy 2 ZS platinum pro

and 7.1 speakers? Then all you need is to download VBR encoded songs, (with lame encoder)

how is mp4 or vbr encoded files going to give you 7.1 surround sound if the original source is stereo?

if the original source is stereo its best to listen to it in stereo otherwise it just sounds like a jumble.

Im not saying it will give him 7.1 surround sound, just higher quality sounding tunes. :)
