And it wont let me reinstall any version so even if i had a special version from TPB i cant install. So i was wondering what the second best disk defgagmentor is.

try using a registry cleaner, something like regsupreme to get rid of useless/obsolete registry entries, then try to reinstall.

Google "Diskeeper cd key".;)

The Retail version doesn't use a key, you just install it.

Delete the installed program folder if it still exists (C:\Program Files\Executive Software)

do a registry search for "Diskeeper" and remove all found entries
I use "jv16 powertools 2005" for this type of thing, but I suppose most other reg cleaners will have a search function

you should now be able to install the retail version (like the one in our verifieds)

actually, thinking about it I would try this method first as it is easier.

after making sure the installed program folder is deleted (as above)

Start > Run > regedit
and delete this root registry entry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Executive Software

now install the retail version

Alrite i got it working, i had to delete alot of strings.

It works good now, defragging now :)
