:fist:

In the past it has pissed me off and it's pissin me off right now. I've been looking for a thread that Zed started awhile back. It was titled something like, "What would you do with this power?" but the search function isn't helping at all. I've searched the Lounge all the way back to the middle of May with no luck either.

I tried this for Zedaxax, 15%, and 99%. I went through them all twice! I'm sure I'm overlooking the post at some point, but if the search function worked this wouldn't be an issue. :frusty:

The search fuction works perfectly if you know how to use it:

Just go to Advanced Search.

Type the name of the person you are looking for in Search for username.

Change the drop-down menu below it to Find threads started by user.

Untick the Exact name box next to it.

Refine the search by selecting a section below in the Search in Forum(s) box.

You can further refine your search by putting in a keyword in the left hand box and selecting Search titles only.

The above will find all the threads started by the member in that section. That's the way I use it and I've never had any trouble. The thread has to have existed in the first place, be by the person in question and/or not deleted for the search function to work but I think it does a good job nevertheless.

I can't find a thread like that by 15% or Zed. Are you sure you aren't referring to Hobbes' "What power do you want?" thread?

The search function works fine. I doubt this thread even exists, it's your memory that is playing tricks on you. You're not even that sure of the title.

Hell, you're probably just making it all up to get attention.

Sometimes its a little tricksy to come up with the words to use in searches but,
like google, experiment helps.

I might as well have gone outside and said this to the brick wall for all the good it did. No, I'm not exactly sure on the title, but if it's wrong, it's not by much. I am on the other hand 100% sure that the word "power" is in the title. So, if the search function works fine, where's the thread? :ermm:

Like everyone else in this thread has said: The search function works fine.

Most likely your mind is playing tricks on you and you thought you saw this thread but it doesn't actually exist. Interesting to note that Hobbes made a thread about "What power do you want?" and the last person to post in it was 15%. That's probably where your delusions stemmed from.

Every thread I've ever made is findable via the search function as are of those of my former username of Withcheese (and there is a lot of them). Are you trying to tell us that the search function randomly selects a member and randomly will not find one of his/her topics?

Stop being silly. Silly.

It's pointless attempting to discuss anything with you. No matter how civil I remain, you just continuously berate people in threads, insist that you're right and never wrong, and toss around mildly insulting comments. I have come to the conclusion that you will never serve me any purpose on this board. I've never had to use it but...welcome to my ignore list. :)

That's usually because I am right most of the time. Take the acronym argument you flounced out of the other day, I proved you so very wrong there and you didn't even have the courage to admit you were mistaken. On this topic I am right yet again and everyone knows it but you, but nevermind if you want to act like a child that is your business.

So it would seem you are also guilty of the crimes that you accuse me of.

I do berate some people I guess. But only the stupid, obnoxious ones. Bye bye silly.

I wish to be formerly making a compliant about the above named sentence. To be finished with an of is a bad sentence and should not be done, ever, period.

If you would go to change it to ".... of which you accuse me." then that will be more OK to the eye.

Otherwise I may have to take some actions which will be a regret to the both of us, but moreso you I think.

Hi Zed.:D

If you want to use the search function to search for 99%'s threads just untick the the 'Exact Name' bit. That is actually what MCHeshPants420 said in his original post (in fact the guy's guide is pretty faultless):

That does suck, I think you're right that that is because of the symbol you use in your username(s). The only way around that is to use the search function (which allows you to be more specific when searching for a thread anyhows...swings and roundabouts).

I'd change it to:

Prolly deserves a bump because it's why Skizo has that member title.

I don't think I deserve a reward for figuring out how to use a forum facility that even the most the second most imbecilic forum member can use with aplomb.

I don't understand why you get worked up about people being assholes on here. Ya gotta have thicker skin....especially on the internet.:ermm:

He seemed to be able to see my post well enough to report me the other day for posting his email address such that newbies could PM him for torrent site invites.

So, I'm guessing no.
