You're frazermum?

Why did you bid against yourself?

sArA
07-16-2005, 08:03 PM
I didn't bid against myself VB...I think it was one of those higher bidder things or somat..

@clocker...Frazermum cos its my kids name and originally set it up for him to sell his pokemon cards.. :blushing:

@Gripper....I know how to ride one, but if you had read it you would see it has no tax or MOT and needs the carbs sorting....so its a van jobbie.

BF used to build Triumphs so will have no problems sorting those little bits out.

Oh...and the top box looks like its got fishing bait in it!

Btw, you still coming here? 'cos I got in at that uni.

Dunno' if I'll take it yet, it's very tempting, but I'll lose my job, and I'm having trouble finding a good place.

sArA

Congrats on getting the place...you should go, you won't regret it I'm sure.

I couldn't get the funding no matter how I tried to spin it...so won't be going now... :(

Well, its arrived :)

they put on a new battery and have ahem....given me a new set of fork seals and a workshop manual.

All in all its pretty tidy for its age and cost. Everything works on it and it starts first press of the button. The motad exhaust has a nice deep tone and the tyres are good.

I reckon that once the carbs are cleaned and the fork seals replaced (thanks to bf for offering to do the work) it will be MOT'd and on the road pretty quickly.

I am so looking forward to getting back on the road after 10 years....

Tricky thing bikes.

Fell off a couple of times when I was 17/18 and sort of lost interest. :lookaroun

If you were anything like the vast majority of 17/18 year olds...then I would guess that you were not exactly the calmest, most sedate and experienced of riders....

Maybe you would have more luck now you are a little more mature....

I am afraid I am one of those...'once a biker, always a biker' types.....vroom vroom :)

I may have taken the odd corner too quickly. Actually, I continued to do so in my car but at least it didn't hurt quite so much when I found myself in a field.

However, now, as I squeeze my zimmer frame in behind the wheel  I do take a little more care.

Scotland is a bit chilly for bikes was my other abiding memory.

I took the BBC "Areyouyounger" test. I knocked a couple of years off my biological age. Although I suspect this simply means I will die younger.

I intend to grow old disgracefully (JP is my role model  )
