Well, a few months ago me and several friends decide it would be fun to rent a bayhouse in Rockport for a few days and soak up the sun, do some fishing, etc. Well then this bitch named Emily decided that she was going to come on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

I guess we are going to make the best of it. We have plenty of candles and flashlights. Wish us luck as we will be enduring the storm and drinking hurricanes during the hurricane party tomorrow. :01:

PS - The tip of the red arrow is about where we are:

I don’t know if this is your first time staying during a hurricane but these big ones aren’t something to play with. I’ve been through my fare share of hurricanes and I’m not staying for anything about cat 2 anymore. I stayed for Andrew in 95, which was a cat 4, but I was to young to know any better. The last bad storm we had 3 years ago I stayed for I and was scared shitless. There were 2 tornadoes that passed really close to the house and that’s what really scared me.

Be careful.

Well I made it through Alicia (category 3) and Gilbert (category 5) with all my fingers and toes, so I hope to be ok during this one. Here is the outlook in about 19 hours. About 8 PM CST.

155 mph winds! :fear:

I don't even own a camera. All the pictures I have were taken with my girlfriends 35mm.

@gripper - Not quite as windy as that video, but bad enough that we didn't go outside much. We caught the northside of the cane and didn't get the full impact that Mexico got. Still, a hurricane is a hurricane. There is no doubt when it hits.
