A few years back, I got RealDownload from Real.com and am still very happy with it.

My query is, as I am thinking of getting a new computer shortly, can anyone direct me as to where it may be available for download off the web as Real have stopped issuing it for some reason.

If its just not available, where could I find the installation file on my computer that I can install it on my new PC?

Maybe search your HD with "real" ?

Also, I recommend you take a look in this article about RealDownloades (http://www.grc.com/downloaders.htm).
Maybe old news but teh Real Network has lost the trust,
if there ever was any. imo.

There's other downloading software available, Getright, Leechgot etc...

I got Getright and FlashGet installed.
I hardly use them.

Only if I have to rip lotsa files from a page/site.

I really dont know which one is teh best.

Even a google search really does n't show much to choose from. If useing Firefox you may have more options with their extentsions . I only use Download Manager tweak 0.0.6.
