new to anime

well, my boyfriend likes anime. he doesn't really talk about it much..hm.

but what i was wondering was... are there any certain anime cartoons you would start out with if you are trying to introduce yourself to it?? :rolleyes: i feel like i'm in over my head lol

and yes, i know i could ask him, but i kind of want to read up and surprise him with something. haha :cool2:

I dunno how to help cuase i am not a complete anime fan, but i think that Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex was easy to get into.

The first anime series I watched was Rurouni Kenshin and that got me started. If you want to impress/surprise your boyfriend you might want to try Cowboy Bebop or Neon Genesis Evangelion.

well it depends on what you like basilisk is a romantic action very similar to tomeo and juliet if you want to find something that is funny has action and is more relaxed id have to say hajime no ippo.

I HIGHLY recommened Chobits, azumangah daioh, school rumble, ichigo mashimaro, for first time. Easy viewing and comedy/romantic.

If he is into the mech and scifi stuff-Gundam Seed, Ghost in the shell ( both chapters), Eureka 7

If he is into the school stuff- school rumble, Great teacher onizuka.

If he is into the philosophical stuff- Monster, elfen lied, and so on
