Newsgroups is all well and good but I'm having trouble finding out what is actually out there. Have downloaded madagascar at least 5 different times and each time it's another different bloody language.

1. How would I find out if its available in english for example?

2. How would I know with any file if it's english or not?

Thanks

use index sites.

If you know the filename(s) of the release you can search using that filename for example on binsearch.net

if your dutch use FTD.

You may want to keep up to date on info for the actual releases you want on sites like swedupe or nforce or the like...

http://www.newzbin.com/browse/cat/

it gives you a flag icon for countries in that language

So there's no site I could use to tell me if a certain found is out in english as a dvd rip yet? Surely it's not a guessing game?

if you're using index sites like nzb-zone and newzbin, download the nfo file of any release you're plannig on getting, it should tell you the especifics about the release, language, subs etc... also check people's comments about the release, its very helpfull...

Most sites I use sadly do not offer the viewing of .nfo and for some reason many files do not even include .nfo's. Have had newsgroups about a month now and found it of very little worth thanks to it being so hard to find media that is english and of good quality :/

Like I say before what language and type of media do you want...

Newzbin and newzmonster have served me well. I have had no problem finding english files, and as said above newzbin has the flag system.

They are generaly english unless the flag says otherwise.

Reality, I quoted myself above and put in bold the fact that I'm after English media.
The type of media? Here, I'm talking about films, would appreciate any help.

When making the NZB just download the NFO first, or check out a torrent site that shows the NFO such as TorrentBytes or UK-Torrent. www.nforce.nl is alright, although it usually takes a few hours after pre for anything to get on there.

I must have missed that although you could just check in at swedupe or as mentioned nforce and then when you see what you want go find it through a search like binsearch or something similar...

I've created an NZB part on my site which gathers all the info from nfo.ftd.nu
(still beta)
The nzb file you can download directly of my site.
I also gathers info from nforce, vcdquality, console-news, warez-news, xrel.de for dupe info.

I use these for NZB files, as well as the ones I get here (which are getting better all the time).

Some, if not all have already been posted here but I thought I would put them all in the one place.
