I am pretty new to all this file sharing stuff so when I ran across a site that offered unlimited movie downloads I was pretty excited. It was unlimited downloads for $19.95/year. I signed up and started searching. Well needless to say I couldnt find half of what I was looking for, the files i did download wouldnt play and I got a virus. (i went to moviedownloadcenter.com) They advertised a 14 day money back guarantee and when I tried to get it they asked for my receipt number and name which i gave them and have never heard from them again. Ok so I dont learn quick I searched other sites and have found a couple that claim to be adware, spyware and virus free. 1 is a p2p the other site says its not a p2p site and offers full movie downloads both dvd and vcd. Im not familiar with video cd's so im wondering if that means I can burn the movies to a cd instead of needing a dvd burner?

Anyway has anyone used or heard anything about either of these sites

downloadshield.com
yourmoviedownloader.com

I appreciate the info

Damn Raven you got screwed over better cancel that subscription. Almost all of them are scams. The whole point of P2P is it's free but Illegal.

Google these or look around on the forums using search you can use these.

Ares - Music
Bittorent - Apps - Movies
Emule - Music - Apps - Movies
Newsgroups - Movies - Some Apps

I reccomend those

thank you guys very much. the way they sell it is that by paying a membership fee it makes it legal to download. So if p2p is illegal how do we get away with downloading the files and how do you avoid the virus problem. A friend of mine used kazaa for a while and had serious virus problems.

What about the download shield site. You still have to pay a membership fee to download the movies. They say right at the front that it is not a p2p site so I dont know what kind of site it is. I will definitely check out the sites you guys recommended when i get home of course. work kind of has a problem using those sites .

One more question, on the sites listed here can you burn movies using a cd burner or do you have to have a dvd burner?

You have to pay in order to get good newsgroups service, so not ALL pay sites are scams.
