• Three Arrested in PSN Hack Attacks

Spanish police this morning say they have arrested three involved in the hacking of Sony's Playstation Network, which shut down the Playstation 3's network for month, locking nearly 80 million gamers out of playing online.

"Spanish Police dismantle the #Anonymous hacker group in Spain. They attacked #Playstation Store," they wrote on their official Twitter feed early this morning. "Police arrested 3 #Anonymous leaders in Barcelona, Alicante & Almerķa. They attacked governments of Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Colombia...

"#Anonymous has thousands of "zombies" computers infected all over the world."

The New York Times reports that according to police one of the hackers had "harbored a computer server in an apartment in the northern port city of Gijon, from which the group attacked the Web sites of the Sony PlayStation online gaming store."

It is not clear if the three were the only ones responsible for the massive hack attack or if this is the beginning of a series of arrests.

well if anon is anywhere near as large as their in-person display against Scientology, this is hardly more than an attempt to feed a George W. Bush-style "Victory" speech to try and convince the irate public they aren't completely helpless against hacker attacks. Fail, IMO. They have been hacked 13 times, and there are 3 arrests of supposed "leaders". Publicity stunt, FTL.

The V/Guy Fawks mask is the "badge" of Anonymous - just like the message in the film....

Looks photoshopped to me too, so just there to prove a point

They broke the law, then they have to pay for it.

While your statement is a gross oversimplification, and I tend to support the motives behind Anonymous' attacks, being arrested is a price often paid by protestors- especially high-profile, anti-corporation ones who cost those corporations millions of dollars.

Is it good to punch arrogant, elitist, bully corporations in the nose from time to time? Yes. Is there going to be a price paid by (some) who do? Yes.

I have to say good on them for their efforts, largely because it was fun to watch Sony get egg all over its face. They sooo totally deserved it after playing the bully.
