• Apple Patent to Stop Concert Filming

Future iPhone users could temporarily lose their iSight if they're caught filming at concerts or taking photos of museum exhibits. On June 2 the US Patent & Trademark Office published a patent application from Apple that detailed a sophisticated infra-red camera capable of receiving instructions as to when and where the iPhone can snap pictures and record videos. Other features include applying watermarks automatically to images and an "Auto Tour Guide". Since the announcement was made, there has been speculation that the technology could be used by the police to prevent people from filming sensitive situations.

Some say that Big Brother is coming. I personally think that Big Brother has been here for years, and is tightening its grip on us. Once upon a time, we had relative freedom, yet it would appear that things we took for granted, such as the ability to choose, is being taken away from us. How long will it be before we are fitted with Borg implants at birth, and do exactly what we are told without question?
