    NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Apple Inc. (AAPL) fell less than 1% the day after Steve Jobs's death, further evidence that the company's stock price was no longer intertwined with the fate of the company's chairman, co-founder and visionary.

    The modest decline Thursday indicates shareholders aren't panicked about Apple's prospects after Jobs.       I really wonder how Apple will do now. They always floundered without him, for the most part. Not that I particularly care, but I am curious.

      Once upon a time, Apple stood for innovation and quality but I don't think it has either nowadays. Good luck to there new boss, I imagine he'll be needing it.

      Was always thinking that Android would give them a run for the money when it 1st came out now that Steve's gone I'd say it's more of a open door for Google.

      Steve Jobs was the innovator that drove Apple, he was the chief designer and many of their products are directly his envisioning, without that driving force and the vision that Steve Jobs had, Apple has a hard road forward in the midst of competition with strong products.

      He didn't create the original concept of the ipod and the later versions were based on that original concept so not sure what you mean there. According to what I've read he only oversaw the ipod project not so much involved at engineering level.

      He was a artist that's the innovator part. Now to just put It out there I never liked any OS by apple but as part of the whole, yes Apple (Steve Jobs) did do nice work

      I still love the 8088 chip
