Gamer dies after 40hr Diablo marathon

A Taiwanese teenager has collapsed and died at an internet cafe after playing the computer game Diablo 3 for 40 hours straight.

Officials say the 18-year-old booked a private room at the cafe in Tainan and did not emerge for nearly two days.

When an attendant checked on him, he stood up from the computer, took a few steps, and then collapsed.

Police say they believe long hours in a sedentary position created cardiovascular problems for the man.
