• Security Guards Shoot and Kill Apple Store Burglar

    Even if you want an iPad 2, like, really really bad, you should not try to steal one! According to local news stations, a private security guard shot and killed one of three burglars attempting to pull off a smash and grab job at an Apple Store in an outdoor mall in Chula Vista, California this morning. So, see, not worth it. The trio smashed the store's glass doors around 6:45 this monring, before the location was open for business, and private security guards, who apparently carry guns, exchanged gunfire with the two male burglars, killing one and injuring the other. He and a third female accomplice were reportedly apprehended later this morning. Chill out, everyone!

      UK could learn a thing or 2 from the Americans. Our security guards have a rolled up porn mag to swat at criminals and over there they carry guns I don't think even all our police officers carry them lol

      Because crime and death by firearms are so uncommon in the US! What could go wrong if everyone is allowed to carry a gun!

      Was there something of value in the store at the time of the burglary? I may have missed it, but is there anything in an Apple store besides the Apple products?

      I assume there must have been since it required an armed guard. Perhaps some computers, or the employee fridge, or a forgotten sweater, or something. I wish these reports were more thorough...

      I read it wrong. They assumed they were there to steal an iPad, but my guess is that one of them desperately needed to sit down for a shit and heard that the Apple Stores keep really clean bathrooms. Also, their shit don't stink.
