The first details about Batman: Arkham City have recently emerged, confirming most of the rumors that have been circulating for a time now. · Takes place in a cut-off section of Gotham
    · Two-Face and Catwoman are in the game
    · Coming next fall on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC

In the latest issue of the Game Informer magazine, via IGN, Rocksteady and Warner Brothers Interactive have revealed some new information about Batman: Arkham City, the sequel to the highly successful Batman: Arkham Asylum.

The title is developed for the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360 and the PC and will come out in the fall 2011.

Speaking with the magazine, Sefton Hill, the game's director said that, “We want to top everything that we did in the last game.”

“We didn't want to do an Arkham Asylum 1.5. We want to make the same jump we made from nothing to Arkham. We want to make that same jump again for Arkham City – the same level of ambition,” he continued.

Two-Face and Catwoman are some of the most famous additions to the Arkham City's cast. Two-Face will be fighting with Joker and some other well-known villains from the Batman universe for control of the open air prison.

Catwoman will fill in he usual morally ambiguous role as Batman's love interest and will help the caped crusader throughout his adventures.

The combat has been expanded and it now allows two simultaneous counter-attacks, spraying explosive gel on the enemies and evading the objects they throw from afar.

Arkham City begins with Batman having all the gadgets and weapons from the first game, but they will be upgradable. There will also be new additions to Batman's belt, like a broadcast analyzer to track transmissions.
