Will a Sata 1 harddrive work on SATA II motherboard properly?

im wondering if anyone may please verify for me, if a SATA I hard drive will work on a motherboard with SATA II connections. The reason i'm asking is that i plan on getting a motherboard with sata II pretty soon, and want to make sure that my western digital SATA (got it a year ago) will work.

Yes, it will work fine.

You won't get the added SATA II benefits, but I assume you realised that.
