OK, I hope I don't rub anyone the wrong way here. I have a nice relationship with this board - and I don't want to be the guy everone hates. However, I think I'm within my rights...

I have a problem with an illegal copy of football manager 2006 that I have downloaded. Basically, I've followed the rules for the "mount in dameon tools, change compatibility mode to Windows NT" deal. But it just comes up "fm.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" after a while. Can anyone help?

Now, in compliance with the rules - I am not asking anyone to reply to this with any download links, or illegal software posted. I'm hoping someone can PM me offering assistance?

I'd be eternally grateful if someone could help!,

PS: If this IS breaking the rules then ... I apologise and just delete it and I'll figure it out somehow.

Are you using the latest version of Daemon Tools (4 I think)? I have no problems with that, don't even need to use the "Windows NT" trick. (I can even patch it and it still works...maybe try patching it as well).

Sorry if you are using it but sometimes it is the most obvious things we miss.

I tried dameon tools 4 which didn;t work. I tried dameon tools 3.47 [that right? :S] because that worked on my last computer - that didn't work either.

Also, how do you patch it?
