Yet another connection problem, only this one is a litte different....

Hi all, I seem to be having a probelm connected to klite for some reason or another. Before you start thinking that i need to d/l supernodes or whatever, know that i used the same version before i reformatted my computer and it ran fine, but now i cant run klite, or any other p2p program for that matter. bearshare says i was firewalled, but i disabled my windows xp built in one and im positive the i dont have another one, not that it would matter much anyways cuz i have basically the exact same stuff on my computer now as i did before i reformatted, help meh!

What's your internet setup? Do you have a router?

Sadly im 100% sure its not the connection, ive ran off dial up and cable, both at different locations, and still get the same problem :(

you didnt save your supernode list. your fault, i forgive you.

when you format, REGARDLESS of which kazaa you were using, you lose supernodes. supernodes are your ability to connect.

get someone in here to go into their list, pick one out, and drop it here.

DITCH bearshare.

control pannel>windows firewall settings>Exceptions>add exception>c:\program files\(your kazaa folder)\KLRUN.EXE

ok. when you first install kazaalite, it tries to connect to a bunch of supernodes. over time, they are gone...but if you were connected to one, it will never matter because your list will be updated on its own, no damage dealt.

so, User connects 3 years ago>User connected now just fine.>user reformats>user reinstalls>user screwed.

everything kazaalite knew how to do (as far as connecting) is no longer operational.

simple solution.

get a working supernode IP address, access KaZupernodes, input in the lower right hand box, click check.

1) Copy the complete text below into a new text file called supernode.txt and save the text file.
2) Rename the supernode.txt file to supernode.reg
3) Double-click on the supernode.reg file to import it into your registry
4) Start Kazaa Lite.

This is a list of 200 supernodes. Mostly running older versions of Kazaa (Lite). So there should be no problems with connecting and searching.

This one always works. It's the iMesh bootstrap supernode. When you connect to it you'll get 200 fresh supernodes.
