Help Needed with port blocking
Ive just changed to a new ISP "www.vispa.net" and have found they are anti emule and other p2p software and so are blocking a range of ports typically used by such programs. Problem is they won't tell me which ones without me first waving all my privacy rights etc.
Does Anyone know which other port numbers i can freely use for emule by chance??
Re: Help Needed with port blocking
Had no luck finding other port ranges, so IF I ask them to unlock all the ports for me, what programs should i say im using so they don't try watching my usage etc. Also any recomendations on ip blockers such as peer guardian etc?
Re: Help Needed with port blocking
you can use all the ports from 1024 there are private...
but i would suggest some 40000-60000, they're less suspicious

No matter what you do, your ISP can see your usage.
Re: Help Needed with port blocking
correct me if i'm wrong, but you can only use ports from 0 to 65535 something (2 to the power of something, I forgot)
Re: Help Needed with port blocking
A lot of excessivley paranoid firewall software hates port 0 traffic.

Use MorphiX and fix it random ports. ;)
