what is the best download manager?

there are a lot of them. . are there any you guys recommend?

I just use FF 1.5.0.2 built in one but have found older versions of FireFox had better extensions or addons such as d/l manager tweak . :(

when i need a dedicated download manager i use net transport.

Yup me too. The last freeware version of NetTransport.

For me, the best is FlashGet, is awesome fast.

Internet Download Manager. It can accelerate the speed using only ONE connection, can be integrated in ANY browser, dosn't have spyware like a DAP and FlashGet... Simple, multilanguage interface. A lot of options. Just try it and we talk again.

I use FlashGet 1.71.
It is fast and without problems.

I've been using Net Transport. But there's a new one that's incredibly fast called gigaget.
