Bf is selling his house after moving in with me so it was put on the market in February. This guy made an offer we accepted for a 'quick sale' and he has kept us waiting with various pieces of choice bullshit and has basically messed us around since then.....:swear:

Yesterday....4 days before completion...he pulls out!!! :angry: :angry: :angry:

Of course, that has completely fucked up our plans for a holiday, set up our own business etc etc at least for a while....:cry:

Happy joy that I am now out of work (with a few months grace on the money front thankfully) and we still have 2 mortgages to pay.......:dry:

Sell it in Scotland, we have a more civilized system for the actual sale. The "offers over" thing is a bit pish tho'

Having said that, I have only ever bought new houses, so that didn't bother me.

Some people are actually selling new builds as "offers over" now, cunts.

Anyway, I hope you get it sold soon.This is actually the best time, in the run in to wedding season. True story.

Hope you are right.....have upped the price a little to reflect the long wait...and gonna change estate agents, as me mate who used to work at one has done a deal for 0.75%...which is pretty good I think.

First time buyers coming into the market bumps everyone up a rung, they're doing it now for summer weddings. The interest rates are relatively low, so the market should be fairly bouyant.

The market definitely has picked up again, even here in the South East.

Think on the positive side Sara, you'll probably get a few thousand more for it now. That's what happened to me. When we were selling my old house, the buyer pulled out very late in the day, but we changed estate agents and resold it within a day, for £5000 more. That was a few years ago now, though.

Just changed estate agents as their fees are half the price of our current one. Board up tomorrow....increased price by a couple of grand (cos its been 4 months ffs!)

Nooooo....it did sell, very quickly and then the buyer pissed us around for 4 months....during which time prices have gone up.
