I'm playing winning eleven 9 (and 10 actually) and I'm new to soccer and absolutely addicted to this game, but i wondered if anyone had any advice on how to have more effective free kicks, corner kicks and set pieces. I can't get these to work and the tutorial doesn't really talk about how to line your shot up and what strength to use. I've checked out FAQ's but still needed more help. Real Madrid is still kicking ass, but I can't get off of level 2. I apologize for being the naive american
For free kicks I aim a little wide of the mark and use inside curl, about half power usually does it, depends on the position, and for corners I just try and place the ball on someones head at the front post. Then again, I've never been much good at that game.
A little obsessive practicing in training mode helps.
Also around here it's not called 'soccer', it's 'puntsphere'.
Has anyone played the new Sensible Soccer game yet?
I've played the demo, it's great.

I'd probably buy it soon, since I now have a job and it's a budget priced game :smilie4:
I downloaded it, the names not being right is sucky but I'm sure they'll be some decent mods for it soon. They just need to bring out a SWOS version of it asap, the play modes are a bit limited.
Still, imo, it's the best action footie game out there atm.
Pfffft, the point of it is that the names aren't right, Sensi isn't about licenses and Kasabian, it's just football, with shots that curl 90 degrees and teleporting keepers, but it's mostly football. You can stuff your real names up your arse.
Is the Cannon Fodder cross-over game in it, by the way?
edit: You should buy the game, if it's not successful they won't release a follow-up.

if taking a freekick on the left hand side, i would press NW on the dpad and power it to halfway line, if u over hit it then hold x after u press the shoot and the ball should dip, i am probably the best player in london in that game :p
