Some of you may have seen me bring this up elsewhere.

I thought I would make an official request for MarthaWorld

I propose this and Racer II seconds it.

The world would be used to discuss

Cats
Flats
Canadia
Art Galleries
Museums
Care in the Community
Anti Delusional drugs (Particularly Colt 45)
Widowhood

and all things Martha related.

We would appreciate your thoughts / support for this. There is a public opinion, please let your voice be heard.

Do you want the World (obviously yes) should we have a Poll (another no brainer I think)

On behalf of Racer II and the picture of her rather shapely arse avatar I thank you for your support.

This is what I am talking about. Nothing to do with anyone's audition tapes for anything. If you happen to make up your own references, based on your own history, that's a matter for you.

However please don't tar me with your brush.

I'm sure most people on this forum knew what I meant when I referred to MarthaWorld.

Seriously, you need to buy a sense of humor. Why would I call someone who references Martha Stewart a sick bastard, as she is the poster child of prim and proper. It's called irony.

My post was so overblown, how could you miss the joke? You think those were real lines from a porno?!!!!!

I chose porn as it juxtaposes the prim and proper Ms Stewart image, with that a of a slut. Heightens the humor.

I knew you were talking about Martha Stewart, the highlighted text is a classic Stewart one-liner (And that's a good thing).

I posted here for two reasons:

1) I wanted to see if you could see through the words of the post to the meaning. A joke, a playful poke in the ribs.

2) I wanted to show you that our disagreement on another thread doesn't mean we have to disagree on everything. The post was a verbal handshake, saying "Hey we disagree over one topic, but lets move on and perhaps we will agree on something someday".

I am not about anger and grudges.

Since I'm not a sick bastard, and you say you are not one, you must have been referring to Curly, as she is the only one left. <_< <_< <_<

All of which may make sense If I knew who Martha Stewart was. Which I don't.

I take it she is some sort of readily identifiable figure to you and many others, however I am not familiar with her. As I did not recognise the reference the irony was totally lost on me, leaving only a post which described me as a sick bastard. Remember our discussion re taking things out of context, given my ignorance I had no context to work with, just the bald statement.

As this was intended as humour please accept my apologies. The wide demographic of this forum sometimes leads to this sort of confusion.

I think your humour may just be a bit too highbrow for me. As I have said in our discussion elsewhere I tend to take a simplistic view of life.

My humor is not "highbrow", but rather "monobrow", it seems. (See "monobrow" thread in this forum.) :lol:

Anyway, relax enjoy the rest of your weekend. If these clouds will just burn off, I think it might be a nice day for a bar-be-que out by my apartments pool. B)

Although the wide demographics here can lead to confusion, I think this facet is the shining jewel of the forum. Being able to get the opinions of people all over the globe, helps to give the willing a chance to broaden his worldview.
