Drive reading fine but wont eject

My computer has 2 drives, one DVD, one DVDRW.

The DVDRW drive is reading the disk that's in it fine, but when I press the eject button, or go thorugh my computer and eject, it will not open.

I tried putting a pin into the hole under the drive and the pin went all the way in without any resistance.

What else can I do?

Did you try restarting your computer?

Back to basics.....

I hang my head in shame.

try removing the front of the cd. It could interfere ejection

edit ..never heard that restarting helped but it solved the problem ?
