Oink

How come when im downloading on OINK my torrents will only seed while i am downloading? As soon as my download is complete my seeding completely stops.
Why is this?

Yea I actually noticed that happening to me too. I always thought it was just a coincidence.

Me neither. Maybe just all peers get finished downloading at a similar time? weird...

My ratio is complete crap thanks to that... LOL

the reason that happens is that everyone turns into a seed at the same time..just leave your torrents seeding and you will find that some leechers will come by.
iv'e got torrents seeding that i have either leeched or uploaded weeks ago and i still get leechers...
leechers will come ...just keeep your torrents seeding ...you will be surprised ..

yep, it makes maintaining a good ratio hard... u just have to seed forever in oink or upload ur own stuff

@ thesixthsensor : do you use Azureus ?

i found that it is best to seed new torrents on oink in order to get good ratio.
the other way would be sharing for a long long time (weeks and monthes) eventually ppl will download from you :)

Or just seed that Rosetta stone file for a few days ;) I dl 1gig of that and seeded back 20. So gives you a good early headstart.
