Call Of Duty 3
Been looking forward to this title for a while seeing that COD2 is one of my favourite games.
Rented it for the 360 and yes it looks very good, new control tweaks such as being able to throw a landed grenade back but.......I dunno what it is but it just doesn't wow me, it's missing something, it's missing that spark the 2nd installment had.
Anyone else find it a bit of a let down or was I just expecting too much?

Re: Call Of Duty 3
it's the most linear game i've ever played. so linear that i kept dying trying to reach cover because it's blocked by an invisible wall

Re: Call Of Duty 3
I didn't have that problem, it ran fine, I played to the 5th mission I think and just got bored, yet I've played through COD2 6 or 7 times without any feeling of bordom. I did have a problem with confusing friendly for enemies which is something I've never had a problem with before, not much diferentiating the 2 from a distance, maybe thats more realism but the game just doesn't work for me at all.

Re: Call Of Duty 3
I agree with the original poster. The opening was the only thing that really wow'd me. It felt though like I was playing COD2 with updated graphics. Big deal. I'm ticked that there is no shooting from cover either. A game like this needs the ability to shoot from cover.
I downloaded the Airborne trailer from live and it looked you could shoot from cover, anyone else notice that?
