How to play this (guitar)?

Sweep pick or alternate pick? There's a vid. of this on youtube where the guy plays it alt. picked, but it looksl ike u can sweep it too, suggestions?



S = sixteenth notes
5 = quintuplets
6 = sixtuplets (spelling?)

I mean, I look at it, and it looks like a total sweep pattern (like a wave), oh and its a fully diminished run if you're wondering
1/2 step tuned down from standard on a 7 string

Play it both ways and decide for yourself.

I'd personally try to sweep that, but I generally dislike sweeps but whatever floats your boat :)

if it's fast, then sweep. if not, it's unnecessary imho.

If you alternate pick you will get more of a seperation of notes in your sound.
If not it will sound more blended together....its up to you to see which one represents your style...or the sound your going for.

ok, well ive been alt. pcking it and i find its a lot easier to sweep it and hit the pick once per string and just use hammerons and pulloffs if theres more than one note on the string, but it def. sounds "blurred" (even tho u can distinguish the notes) when i sweep as opposed to alt. pick like maxoverlord pointed out

problem is, both ways sound good in their own way

Yeah, it all depends on if you want it to sound stucatto or legato, but if both sound good whatever's most comfotable would seem to be the best choice.
