I just watched a party political broadcast on behalf of the BNP Scotland.
I was quite frankly horrified. Not so much with the content, that's pretty obvious. Just the fact that such a thing existed does my head in.

That's the thing with free societies, disagreeable viewpoints can be given a platform to be heard.
The alternative IMO would be worse.
They've had to import candidates from England with Scottish sounding names. Which I imagine will go down well.

so i'm guessing the BNP are against the breakup of the Union
I like to think I'm all for freedom of speech, but I dispise the BNP who use politics to further bigotry and racism and use societal weaknesses to futher their own aims. "Look, mother of four living in shit in the east end of London, at that Somalian family who have been given a four bedroom house after just coming over to Britain and claiming benifits. It's their fault, hate them!"
It's purely disgusting.
so rather than educate people, we'll just call the BNP names. awesome
We don't tolerate bigotry up here. Send these Englishmen back to England.
Part of the BNP's "problem" in Scotland is that they are generally regarded as an English party. Consequently many of Scotland's racists have turned towards the SNP.
This is not to say that the SNP in any way endorses extremist views though I have seen little evidence of denouncement either, but those of you in Scotland will be better informed of their stance.
