Connecting to server

Hello lovely people!

This is my first post, i am looking to get really good at using this forum, and also, at using soulseek, which so far, is not going well. i got as far as downloading and installing the software, but when i try to connect, it gives me a yellow triangle with exclamation point, saying "cannot connect to server--if your internet connection is up, the server may be down temporarily" only, i have received this message everytime i try to learn this program. Can someone please help me?:)
