Vista (Clear recent items list) has vanished

hope someone can help, in my main administrator account the clear recent items list isn't showing, an i am unable to clear the list, i logged into a different users acccount and the option is there do clear, why has it vanished all of a sudden on mine???

can anyone help? how do i get it back?

not to worry i fixed it after messing round a while. seemed that the recent items list was changed from a file to a folder.

anyone know what would have changed this?
