idk wtf happened but if i go to apple.com and watch the quicktime trailers my firefox and ie7 both lockup. it's hell to get back to desktop. i've tried different codec packs and nothing works. that's in xp though. using the same codecs while i'm in vista the quicktime trailers work fine. any suggestions? i have not tried new videocard drivers yet.
Try "safe mode (GDI only)" in QuickTime preferences.
awesome. so, that was teh problem. it works now. can u tell me what's wrong? lol, why is that locking up my browser? video drivers? thank u!
maybe directx? if i have time i check that out.
There is an incompatibility between QuickTime and some nVidia drivers. Mostly with 8xxx series cards.
ok, cool. updated all my drivers last nite and my vid crd drivers happen to be one of them. i reverted back to an older driver. was using 94.24 or something and went back to 93.71. the 93's work GREAT. once again quicktime working like a charm... :) now i can apple trailers again.
