I love living in Scotland, but absolutely hate the sound of bagpipes. I'm sensitive to high pitched noises and bagpipes make me want to pierce my ear drums.
One of my neighbours has taken to learning how to play the bloody bagpipe but his way kicked him out of the house because of the horrible noise he was playing.
Now he's taken his bagpipe down the glen behind my house:cry:
Get him an ASBO.

Me too, I love them. However as you say only if the person or people can actually play them.
I can play a bit, however I fall into the not very well category.
