Well, there's no need for upgrades, but I want to just for some decent performance boost w/o spending too much. Looking at around $400-500 bucks.
Newer games, especially, bioshock which I tried yesterday, ran fine on medium-low settings. I think either single-core cpu or the ram is bottlenecking.
So, suggestions?
PS: specs in sig, with a pos Asus A8N5X mobo
get more ram
and for 400-500 bucks get the ram, a socket am2 mobo and a good processor
ok, what you need is to buy 2gigs of ram for just 80 bucks (DDR2 800). Then you'll need a new video card which is around $370?
You should also get the superclocked version, it should increase your chances of getting a free RMA upgrade if you fuck it up later on and its only what? $20 more for better performance?
As for the mobo and processor, I think my combo is pretty good but you can get the 5600+ for cheaper if you want. The EVGA mobo also comes with lifetime warranty so if it fucks up, you're insured for life :).

mmm on topic, so um decided to get another gig or ram, + a new monitor. Too much money to get new mobo + CPU or gfx card. Should last me another 1-2 years then i'll just get new comp.:happy:
