Help with utorrent 1.7.4

i had to format my pc, i instaled vista, and utorrent 1.7.4, but when i add 1 torrent file, i go here "add torrent(no deflaut save)..." i chose the torrent, and when i see "save as" to chose the past i want to put download file in, i can not chose because only apears the desktop folder.

i have to manualy write c:\downloads\games.....etc

some help???

try 1.7.5

Just stick with 1.6... Because later versions were built under the ownership of the MPAA... I know everyone is saying that the MPAA has never touched the latest versions of uTorrent and it's clean, but that's what they want us to believe in.

i had tryed 1.6.1, and more versions, but all the other versions dosen´t work fine always give me an error " Can´t fint the download folder", and i don´t change the folder....

i think the problem comes from vista.
u could try this when u run utorrent right click on it an Run As Administrator , and see if it still shows u the desktop folder instead of the one were u put or torrent files.
If it doesn`t work try 1.7.5

Try uninstalling uTorrent...

Then, delete the folder: C:/Documents and Settings/YourUserAccountName/Application Data/uTorrent

Then, install uTorrent 1.6

if i run as administator i can chose the past i want to put the downloads, instead only the desktop folder.

fstrulz, had triend that b4 and dosen´t work.

Just an offtopic question to fstrulz: 1.6.1 build 490 or 1.6 build 474 is considered safer :wacko:? I think 1.6.1 build 490 was released after the sellout to MPAA so I 'm a bit confused on what to use to stay on the "safe" side. :unsure: Thanks for any help.
