Who changed the spelling?
Which is correct?
I thought only the french needed an extra letter to pronounce the letter before it, but hey don't use that word for it, hence "blonde" spelling is american or?
Is this pole dancer Blond or blonde?

I think it is one of the few English words that changes with respect to gender.
I.e. use "blond" when referring to men, and "blonde" when referring to women.
In modern usage this is somewhat ignored.
