You guys/girls living in Europe are getting screwed over.Quote:
Sony Europe will officially unveil the 40GB PS3 tomorrow for a price point of 399 euros (approx. $564), which is 200 euros (around $283) less than the 599 euro (about $846) 60GB model.
It's £299 here in the uk - wii still £180
Yes £299 but that version has no memory card slots, 2 usb ports instead of 4, And has ps2 backwards compatibility removed, And 40GB harddrive instead of a 60GB, I went out yesterday and bought me the £349 one, That has 60GB HDD, Memory card slot, 4 usb slots, PS2 backwards compatibility, Choice of 2 PS3 games from a selection of 6, Plus 2 Blueray films, After being stung by microsoft 360 i have no urge to buy another one, So i opted for the PS3, Glad i did, When i first switched it on i thought it wasen't on it's that quiet, No loud DVD-ROM drive, No loud fans, Free PS3 LIVE, Haven't been online with it yet, Will test that out sometime today.
I'll stick with my PS2. There's not enough decent games out for the PS3, and with backward compatibility removed - no thanks!

It has already been confirmed in the U.S., too (for $399 as opposed to the $564 you Europeans have to pay - ouch). I still don't think it is worth it unless you want a blue ray player.
Well i think its worth the £349 i paid, Most of lastnight and today i've been playing resistance fall of man online and got say i've enjoyed it alot more than any 360 game i've played.
PS3 really needs a 250GB not a 60GB drive minimum - they always keep adding little things here and there - without giving you anything substantial !
the pricing is just ridiculous - especially in EUROPE ! I sold mine after two weeks !!
