but i think my isp might use a transparent proxy sometimes

At school.

To circumvent rapidshare's, and similar places', download-restrictions. And also, sometimes, when haxing pronsites. Or, hardly ever today, when I need to either hide personal information, or my real identity, on discussion boards.

Same here.
I have no other need.

For rapidshare, megaupload, etc..

i only use a proxy when i h4x

when I'm at work I use proxies occasionally to access some sites that are restricted.

use it occasionally to check if some site is block by my isp when a site is down though
