Is there no problem with me letting an account go due to inactivity concerning my invitees accounts? I'm sure I've left one or two accounts to stagnate, but now I have some places I have invited people to that I just no longer frequent for one reason or another. Will it be a problem for them or will the invite chain just get cut?
Nope, no problem whatsoever.
With accounts you no longer use, you have 3 options:
Let it stagnate and it will be automatically pruned
Try the old /delacct.php? and see if you can manually delete yourself (often this option is disabled).
PM a MOD at the site to say you will no longer be using the account, they will either delete it themselves. or leave it to the auto pruning process, in case you change your mind.

just leave it and if the ppl u invited actives then i am sure thats wont effact on any of them
never heard that someone getting banned due to inviters inactivity...
just let it get pruned due to inactivity, the persons u have invited to that act will be safe no problem
