Yeah, I've been off since the 24th, I went to work on Thursday but there wasn't much to do. I'm back tomorrow.

Call them and say, I feel so good that I am staying home, or call and say you are dead, damn it I don't want to go to work either

Tell them something like you ripped a toe nail, or some other gruesome injury. Saying you're sick is like the excuse trick in the book and would probably make you look bad.
