According to web user magazines website:

no it's real, but it only broadcasts to radios within a certain range. it won't be sold with iPods in the UK because our FM radio frequencies are all taken up and it would be illegal to use.
that would be so cool, you could just broadcast over a radio station.. it would be great to do it here in the states and screw with clearchannel.
