i think 3.0.4.2
Usually the latest version is encouraged (unless it has a major bug or something). But some trackers even allow 2.5.0.4

I just switched to thew newest version of Azureus, because it was banned at a tracker I'm a member of, it's allowed on all the trackers I belong to except for one, which is THC, I have to use uTorrent for that one, but hopefully that'll change in the future.

I use 2.5.04. I don't like Vuze. That's the only reason why I still use 2.5.04 ;)

the newer versions have many new features and a lot of bugfixes.
if your trackers still allow the old version - fine.
though i can see no reason not to upgrade.
