Not able to update to Vista Sp1
so, i've got this weekend off from work and decided to get sp1 (just in case shit went wrong i could fiddle with my OS). from what i've heard it IS available off of windows update. i went there and it's not listed. does that mean i have some software installed on my pc that msu found incompatible and therefore won't let me update? it doesn't bother me at all that i don't have sp1 installed, but would like to know why. next format i'll install it i guess.
Re: Not able to update to Vista Sp1
"Windows Update will automatically install SP1 on computers that are configured to receive updates through Automatic Updates".
Try enabling auto update see what happens ?
Re: Not able to update to Vista Sp1
It may be that MS has flagged your hardware as incompatible for some reason.
Update wasn't offering it to me either so I went to MS Download (not Update) and grabbed the multi-language standalone install package and installed that.
Worked fine.
